Wait For It

Life is so much Better In Bed

September 23, 2016 by Mary

I’ve done a lot of skipping around this year with what I’ve released. Next year… well, next year will be a bit more logical. But for the last three months of 2016, I’m finishing up the Better In Bed series. We all know life is so much Better In Bed, right?

bib-1-cover-10If you haven’t read this series, I wanted to introduce it to you. It’s the first series I wrote, but it didn’t start out as a series. Cat’s story is first, Wait For It. Cat’s a virgin who feels like she’s waited so long to lose her virginity that her expectations can’t possibly add up to reality. She’s hesitant to sleep with just anyone and decides she’s waited that long, she’ll just wait until she’s married.

Enter Ryder. Sexy. Biker. Single dad. Yeah, he’s hot. She describes him as sex on a stick. Cat has trouble resisting Ryder. Ryder has trouble resisting Cat. For two people trying to figure out where their lives are headed, and if they’re headed there together, it’s a fun, easy read.

bib-2-cover-3The second book, Work For It, is Cat’s best friend, Lizzy. Lizzy is married, but thinks her husband, Aaron, might be cheating on her. There’s no romance left in their marriage. They barely speak to each other and when they do it’s about the kids. Lizzy feels unsettled and thinks Aaron doesn’t love her. So she does what any woman would do…

She sets out to change his mind and seduce him.

bib-3-cover-1Fight For It is the third book in the series. Jenny is Lizzy’s younger sister. She just graduated college and left her boyfriend there where he’s finishing grad school. Jenny is floundering, unsure where she’s going in life, like so many people just out of college. When she blows a tire on the side of the road, Logan comes to her rescue. In more ways that one.

These two dance around each other, back and forth as both try to figure out where things are going. The shit really hits the fan when Jenny’s boyfriend shows up.

bib-4-cover-3Play For It will be out October 4! Erika is hurt after a falling out with her best friend, Jared, who she happens to be in love with. Jared told her sleeping together was a mistake… the morning after… and Erika cuts ties. Three months later, she’s finally had enough and can’t resist when a sexy British guy wants to take her away.

Jared gets jealous and the two men play for the right to date Erika. Only Erika isn’t sure which one she wants to win!

Go For It is Molly’s story of uprooting her peaceful, boring life by marrying a guy she barely knows. Owen thinks Molly is the perfect woman to settle him down, but Molly thinks marrying Owen is just the craziness her life needs.

In Wish For It, Molly’s sister, Allison, takes Cole home with her after he’s too drunk to take care of himself. When Cole wakes up, he thinks Allison took advantage of him and insults her by offering her money to keep her quiet. Allison won’t take the bait and their game of cat and mouse begins.

The last book in the series is Drink For It. Heather avoided Luke’s since their one and only night together, but when she’s forced back, she can’t stay away from the man himself. Luke hasn’t been able to get Heather out of his mind, but when she walks back into his bar, he doesn’t want to let her out of his life again.

I hope you’ll check out all the series. These are shorter books that are quick, fun reads. They’re only going to be available in ebook version, but that helps me keep the prices down! Catch up on the series now before Play For It comes out October 4!

Happy Father’s Day

June 12, 2014 by Mary

I have to admit, usually I suck at doing anything for Father’s Day. Growing up my mom always took care of getting things for my dad and since I’ve been married, hubby and I don’t do much for each other for holiday (when we need something we get it so it’s hard to come up with gift ideas).

This year, for Mother’s Day, hubby took the kids out and got me some great stuff – a new computer bag for me (I didn’t have one), a huge wine glass, and a bottle of my favorite wine. The kids each picked out and signed cards for me. It wasn’t much, but it was a lot to me.

I knew I had to do something for Father’s Day.

Since I know he doesn’t read this, I know I can tell you what I did for him. He’s wanted a ring for his right hand because the kids fight over who gets to hold his hand with the ring. He found one on Amazon and ordered it for himself. At least I know he’ll like it.

The surprise is I also got him a rash guard and water bottle because he’s been asking for both. It’s not much, but it’s enough for him to know I was thinking about him and love him. I’ll make sure the kids get him cards also, and he’ll be happy.

At least I hope so.

FathersDayMy favorite dad in my books has been Ryder, from Wait For It. Not only is he seriously sexy, but he’s a sweet dad who cares about his daughter. Ryder is the kind of man we all dream about finding, right? Kind, caring, loving, a good father, an amazing lover, someone dedicated to the people he loves. Sounds perfect, right?

Here’s a sneak peak for you, from Wait For It. Cat wasn’t so sure about Ryder…

Cat watched from behind Lizzy as Ryder carried chairs to the shed. She let herself dream about his tight muscles and bulky frame covering her body and making her feel. She wanted to feel something. It had been too long since Cat had any interaction with a man, but she knew Ryder was the last one she needed to be messing with.

Cat turned away from Ryder and started wiping down the tables. She wiped down the tables and chairs quickly, trying to do whatever she could to help out. Once all the tables were clean, Cat flipped the first one onto its side and slid the locks up to fold the legs into the bottom of the tabletop. She lifted the table but knew it would be a struggle to get it to the shed.

She tried shifting the weight of the table and was surprised when it suddenly seemed lighter. She looked behind her and saw Ryder lifting the back end of the six foot table. “I had it,” she said.

“I was just trying to help. It actually saves me time to have them folded up so if you don’t mind folding the legs underneath, I can come and get it.”

Cat again found her mind drifting to something else she wanted Ryder to come and get. She dropped the table without a word and walked back to the patio. She flipped the next table over and folded the legs up, then moved onto the next one.

Once she’d collapsed the four tables on the patio, Cat started folding up the extra chairs. Ryder carried the tables to the shed and returned to get the chairs leaning against the side of the house. Once Cat folded the last of the chairs she picked up two chairs under each arm and carried them to the shed. She passed Ryder on his way back and let herself get lost in his sapphire eyes again. But only for a moment.

Cat’s arms were starting to ache by the time she carried the last set of four chairs to the shed. Ryder was inside, assessing the space when Cat walked in. “Thanks,” he said. She mumbled, “You’re welcome,” and turned to leave.

“Cat, wait,” Ryder said, following her out of the shed.

She stopped and faced him. She was tired and starting to sweat even though the air was cooling off in the late afternoon. She really wasn’t in the mood for whatever he was going to say. Not when she’d been fantasizing about him all day and knew nothing could ever happen.

“Listen, I was wondering if I could take you out sometime?” Ryder asked. He knew it was a weak proposition but being so close to her made him anxious. Passing by her carrying chairs for the last ten minutes turned him on more than it should have. But watching her breathing heavily and seeing her hair beginning to stick to her sweaty neck made him want to make her feel that way in his bed, not in a backyard that didn’t belong to either of them.

“Why?” Cat asked. She had learned most guys who asked her out right after they met just thought she was attractive. She wasn’t interested in being someone’s Ms. Right Now. She knew that’s what Ryder was thinking and she wasn’t going to put herself through that.

“Why?” he asked, confused. He’d rarely been turned down before and he certainly hadn’t ever been asked why he wanted to take someone out. “Well, because I think you’re beautiful and you intrigue me. I want to get to know you better.”

Cat blew a breath of laughter through her nose. She shook her head, disappointed that he was exactly who she thought he’d be. “I don’t think so Ryder. I’m flattered, but it’s not a good idea.”

Cat turned on her heel and walked into the house. Ryder stood watching her go, wondering what he said wrong. And how in the world he was going to fix it.

Ryder reached for Cat’s hand between them. His tongue darted over his lips and his gaze dropped to Cat’s. He sucked in his breath when he saw Cat’s teeth pulling at her bottom lip. He pushed his thoughts aside and leaned toward Cat. She released her lip from her teeth and met his lips. The contact between them sparked the desire Ryder had been holding under tight control and he lost it. His free hand went to Cat’s face and pulled her to him.

Cat’s lips parted for Ryder and he took advantage of the opening. He plunged his tongue deep into her mouth, tasting her. She met his tongue with her own and their tongues danced between their mouths. Neither controlled the other as they slid together, discovering, learning, and loving each other.

Cat rested her free hand on Ryder’s hip and pulled him to her. He pressed tight to Cat, his erection digging in low on her belly. She gasped at the contact and Ryder lost the last bit of control he held on to.

Don’t forget, this and all my books are on sale now through December 24 for $0.99! Check out my Amazon page or search for me on Barnes & Noble.

You No Longer Have To Wait For It!!!

November 26, 2013 by Mary

wait for it cover 7

I’m so excited to announce Wait For It is LIVE!!! I’ve been dreaming about writing this book for months and I’m so happy to finally be sharing it with you. It’s the story of a strong, independent woman, Cat Thomas, who has given up on men. Cat vowed to stay a virgin until she got married and never had trouble keeping that vow.

Until she meets Ryder Hawkins.

Ryder is hot with a capital H. To make things worse, he’s a devoted single dad, and just a nice guy. Ryder has his own wounded past, but he’s determined to make a great life for his little girl.

When the two of them hook up, Cat questions her vow, desperately wanting Ryder like she’s never wanted anyone. But when she confesses her secret, Ryder flips out and Cat walks out.

Pick up your copy today (Amazon or Barnes & Noble) to find out if they can work out their differences or if it’s too much to mend.

A little tease for you…

Cat pulled into her driveway and her breath swept from her. Ryder was leaning against a motorcycle, blocking the path to her garage. It’d been almost a week since she’d seen him and if it was possible he looked even hotter than a week ago. He had that bad boy look that makes every woman damp with desire. And Cat was definitely every woman.

Cat considered her options. She could pull right out of her driveway and go somewhere else, but she figured Ryder would just follow her. She could park where she was and just ignore him as she went inside. Ryder didn’t seem like he would take no for an answer. Cat tried to come up with another option, but she couldn’t. She knew she was going to have to face him.

She just wished he didn’t look so good. Cat wondered if she could have him arrested for looking too damned hot sitting there like that. He was sex on a stick, and boy was she hungry.

 I hope you enjoy it!

Can You Wait For It?

November 3, 2013 by Mary

wait for it cover 7

I’m writing my newest book and I was so excited to share it with you that I couldn’t wait until it was finished. I hope you don’t mind!

Wait For It is the first book in the Better In Bed series. The series is set in the fictional town of River Pointe, New York. The first book is about Cat Thomas, a 27 year old woman who feels like the only virgin left in town. Cat has trouble dating because once guys find out she’s a virgin at 27 and wants to wait until she’s married to have sex, they bolt.

But then Cat meets Ryder Hawkins.

Ryder is a single dad who moved to town a few months ago. His seven year old daughter is best friends with Cat’s best friend’s daughter. Cat runs into Ryder at the party, literally. He asks her out, but she knows his type. He’s dark and dangerous, absolutely gorgeous, and clearly more experienced than Cat, hence the kid. But there’s something about Ryder that Cat can’t figure out. For some reason she wants to believe he’s different.

I can’t wait for you to go on the journey with Cat. Find out if Ryder is the guy Cat thinks he might be and if Ryder really will…
