There are a lot of things that define Archer Ford, but calm isn’t one of them. When he learns his brother is kidnapped, it’s all those other things that will come in handy to find him.
Lily doesn’t know who to call when her best friend disappears. She knows something isn’t right, but he’d kill her if he knew she called his brother. Still, Lily can’t take the chance her best friend needs help and she doesn’t get it for him.
Reluctantly, Archer lets Lily help him search for his brother. She knows Jaymes, and she knows the area. A place Archer never wanted to be again. He knows he needs help, but the curvy woman who clearly has a thing going on with his brother is the last person he wants on his side, and the only one he wants in his bed.
As they get closer to finding Jaymes, they get closer to discovering the secrets and lies between them that could make it all better. Or so much worse.
Excerpt from Freedom
“Shh,” he growled at her.
“You never lis—”
The damn woman couldn’t keep her trap shut if it killed her. The problem he was having is it might. He needed to hear what was going on. And she was making it impossible with her constant jabbering.
“I’m trying to listen,” he hissed, nodding his head toward the door. Someone was out there. He’d bet his left nut.
“Someone’s out there?” She whispered the same way she did everything else. At full fucking volume.
Archer was out of damn options. If she didn’t shut up, he couldn’t find out what was going on. And she clearly wasn’t going to do it on her own.
He’d take one for the team. He knew how to keep a woman quiet.
